The Cadence HiFi 4 is the successor of the HiFi 3 DSP in regards to performance and is designed for DSP-intensive applications (multi-channel, digital assistant front-end processing, neural network-based ASR, ...). The HiFi 4 is based on the Cadence Xtensa LX architecture.

J-Link Support

Since V7.80 of the J-Link software, debugging of the HiFi 4 core is supported.

Debugging support is mainly provided via Cadence Xtensa Xplorer IDE + J-Link GDB Server. For more information about how to setup JLink GDB Server, please refer to the J-Link GDBServer wiki article.

For more information about how to setup J-Link in general for Xtensa based core debugging, please refer to the J-Link Xtensa specifics wiki article.
