Flash Programming

Altera Cyclone V features a Cortex-A9 core without internal flash but with support for QSPI. Official flash programming support has been added in J-Link software version V6.73a.

Minimum requirements

• Min. J-Link software version V6.73a (beta) or V6.74 (release) is required. Later versions will also work. Earlier versions do not support flash programming on this device.

Enable Flashloader

QSPI flash

The QSPI flashloader uses the following pin configuration and has been tested with ISSI IS25LP256D and IS25WP256D SPI Flash.
