When the Atmel SAM E53/54 Xplained Pro board gets powered through Target USB port, it can happen that Chip erase executed within AtmelStudio times out.<br />
<br />
To fix this behavior it is necessary to power the board through the Debug USB port instead of the Target USB port.<br />
This behavior and the workaround have been confirmed by Microchip.</div>Sebastian
