By default a SEGGER Probe (J-Link / J-Trace) come with a varying set of feature licenses. Licenses can be purchased to upgrade a Probe or to use the Probe as dongle for other SEGGER products like Ozone or Embedded Studio.
Such a license can be added/installed using the following methods:
- Adding the license as local / host PC based license
- via the J-Link License Manager in case it is a Probe feature license (J-Flash / FlashBP license).
- via the application the license is for (e.g. Embedded Studio / Ozone).
- Adding the license as portable / Probe based license.
