J-Link LITE SAM-ICE

A J-Link LITE ARM batch for Renesas that has been shipped in late 2017, incorrectly identifies as SAM-ICE at the PC.

Symptoms

  • S/N shown in J-Link Commander / Configurator / ... does not match the S/N on the label
  • J-Link Commander / Configurator / ... identify J-Link LITE as SAM-ICE

Affected serial numbers

J-Link LITE ARM which have the following serial number printed on their label, are affected:

  • 228212820 - 228212919

Fix

  • Download this zip package: AG xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx TBD
  • Extract the package
  • Start JLink.exe from the extracted package
  • Confirm the firmware update that is offered
