This article describes specifics for TI's Jacinto 7 common evaluation platform (J721EXCP01EVM). The base board can be used with the J721EXSOMG01EVM (TDA4VMx & DRA829Vx) or the J7200XSOMG01EVM (DRA821).
Preparing for J-Link
Hardware: TI J721EXCP01EVM + TI J721EXSOMG01EVM (TDA4VMx & DRA829Vx) or TI J7200XSOMG01EVM (DRA821)
- Install J-Link software: V7.94 (or later)
- Connect the J-Link to the board via JTAG MIPI connector (non standard adapter is requireD)
- Insert the SD card delivered with the system-on-module board (or follow the links above to create a boot image)
- Power the board via PWR IN 12V MON DC
- TI's PROCESSOR-SDK-J721E (e.g. 8.2)
- Verify the Connection with e.g. J-Link Commander. The output should look as follows:
